- the problems are interesting and challenging and some of the people are truly amazing - comp is decent, especially cash comp
- 24/7 safety critical operations are stressful. It’s a burnout factory. - a few mistakes set the company back, and it’s going to take some time to get back to any sort of scale - leadership team in engineering is full of terrible micromanagers. No inspiration, even with an inspiring mission to draw on. Lots of blame culture - GM appears to be highly involved

Currently work on driverless technology and Daimler but I wonder if working at a more "new" company would offer better work culture and potentially pay. Anyone have experience working at a company like BMW/Daimler/Ford and then moving to a driverless tech company like Cruise?
Recently contacted by cruise Automation. Heard it is already acquired by GM. Does that mean there is no chance to go to IPO to earn a lot of money when joining at this point? If it is not going to IPO, how’s Pay like for engineers?
Anyone work here? Very good Glassdoor rating. How difficult are onsites for regular SWE? Do I have to know geometric algorithms?
I'm considering joining Cruise. How is the culture? Are PSUs actually paid, at what rate?

Considering a cruise offer (SWE). 1. What time horizon do people actually think the PSUs will be paid out over? 2. I hear rumors of large amounts of level inflation. Are your IC4s actually similar to Google/FB T5/E5? Is your staff actually close to Google T6?
Wondering what compensation is like at Cruise. Base: 158k RSU: 120k/4 years PSU: 30k (annually) IC2 offer with 218k TC What is the compensation range for IC2; and where does this compensation offer listed above stand within that range?
Cruise isn't mentioned here often. I'm a PM at lyft and a recruiter reached out to me for their marketplace team. Had a few questions about cruise: 1. what's the culture like? is it still a start up feel? 2. what's the comp like? competitive with tier 1 companies? 3. how are growth opportunities w...Read more
I finished my final rounds about a month ago. I've reached out twice to the recruiters over the past two weeks and have heard nothing. Recruiter told me they'd get back to me after the holiday (Thanksgiving). What do I do now? 😔 #cruiseautomation #cruise
