- the problems are interesting and challenging and some of the people are truly amazing - comp is decent, especially cash comp
- 24/7 safety critical operations are stressful. It’s a burnout factory. - a few mistakes set the company back, and it’s going to take some time to get back to any sort of scale - leadership team in engineering is full of terrible micromanagers. No inspiration, even with an inspiring mission to draw on. Lots of blame culture - GM appears to be highly involved
I know GM is buying back #cruise stock at a fixed price every quarter. I heard last quarter it was $29 a share. How does that price compare to the grant price? What price do they use in your TC calculations? TC: 230k
When cruise employees sell their shares, do they get capital gain or is it considered normal comp? I know it’s not a public company so not sure how the price is determined!
Last quarter the internal buyback price was $29 but some commenters mentioned it's worth joining after Jan 15 when there's a new price. Can any Cruise folks comment on what the revised price is?
Anyone working at Cruise knows why the company hasn't re-valuated in almost 2 years? I worked there a few years back and my vested shares still haven't re-valuated in almost 2 years. Wondering if it has anything to do with Dan getting let go. Also, will Cruise ever offer to buy back RSUs? TC: 22...Read more
Does Cruise offer stock refreshers on a yearly basis as part of bonus? If so, what would be the range for SWE L4 or L5? I am considering an offer and it would be great to have this data to help me compare with other offers I have where refresher range is clear. #cruise #cruiseautomation
Trying to evaluate an offer from Cruise. Is it possible to sell Cruise stock on private equity marketplaces like EquityZen? If so, are there any caveats to selling there?
Interviewed at Cruise Automation and they're promising high base with GM stock. It doesn't seem that GM stock has had much growth in the last few years, but can the success of Cruise change that? Also is the work culture good?
I am interviewing with Cruise Automation. I want to know GM Cruise's private stocks refresher policy. In my conversation with HR/recruiter I didn't get proper answer. Ex Cruiser here, just received a letter stating that GM is withdrawing the offer to buy Cruise stock from current and former employees. That is 450k down the drain.
