- Rejected by Google again. Google is my dream company, and I just got rejected by them for the third time :( 1st time was around 5 years ago and I was totally unprepared at LC. 2nd time was 2 years ago, I did 450questions on LC and I received multiple offer from tier 1 companies (when I joined Meta) but still failed Google
- vote Datadog vs Google Have offers from both. Datadog: 215K base, 575K over 4 years, 20K signing — ‘Senior’ level (not sure the exact internal level tbh). About 360K / year Google: 190K base, 500K over 4 years, 30K signing — L5 level. About 320K / year Datadog seems like a more startup feel and faster growth trajectory
- Canceling Google onsite What happens if I cancel my G onsite that is scheduled to happen soon? I don't want to delay it either since I've already done it twice. I plan on just staying back at my current company. I've delayed it twice and then never got around to preparing - probably cannot even initialize a queue properly
- Google Google recuter wants to call me to provide interview feedback. I interviewed Friday and today is Monday. Bad sign? Tc: 184k Yoe: almost 4 Bachelor's
- Fired from Google, next steps? I joined Google as a new grad FE SWE and was on the high end of CME and improving. A year into wfh (about 1.5 years into my career), my team merged with another team. I felt completely lost in the new codebase and had trouble keeping up/onboarding. Felt like I would write code but it always had side
- Fake Google recruiters? Have y’all ever been reached out by a staffing company claiming to be for Google? I received an email about a position, called them and some Indian answered and we talked but it’s fishy to me #tech #Google
- Quitting Google Joined 2 years back L5 @ 370k. Stock appreciated + stacked refresher, TC is now ~650k (13 YOE, Bay area). Quitting because feel down-leveled. Scope of work has not much impact. No promotion in sight in the next 2 years. Team is good, but lot of work. Don't want to change teams. Got offers from Mic

- This is why Google lowballs There are tons of future Noogler waiting in line to join Google and post pic with Noogler hat and confetti. “This was my dream gmail -> google.com” Now it makes sense. Completely makes sense. Please “comment for better reach” or “++” 🤣🤣🤣 #futureNoogler #linkedin
- Should I leave Google? I got an offer from amazon 5 months ago for TC of 335k SDE2 Google gave me 328k for L4 since I had Amazon, so I have joined Google. I have received couple of email from Amazon that they are still interested and open to renegotiate the offer. They said they will increase 25% which makes it 418k.
- Google remote pay How much does Google discount offers for remote roles? What about offers which were not made for remote but then eventually you became remote after? #Google
- Google Equipment I need to choose the equipment I want for Google. I want a macbook. However, I am not sure if I should prefer the larger macbook with more power over the smaller more easily carried one. Would developers ever need a lot of power on their macbook? Seems like everything is done mostly on a remote comp
- vote Google vs Amazon I have an offer from Google India L3 and Amazon India SDE 1. The offer from Amazon is from a team in AWS AI. They have given a verbal confirmation and am yet to receive the TC. I am currently on the team matching phase at Google and I have been rated good on all my interviews, so highly likely th
- Why google is shit Low pay Hostile to remote work Stupid low bar above new grad. For L4 they still don’t ask system design 🤣 New grads are mostly interns who lucked out on their coding questions. Senior engineers from outside are all shit due to low bar and bad pay. Hiring process is extremely slow Work culture
- vote Google layoffs? They missed earnings, stock is down big time
- Finally I got into Google Finally I got into Google. Still remember 4 years ago back in 2018, I took my parents and my brother to visit the Googleplex in Mountain View. - link Google L5 offer After all the negotiations , just signed the following L5 offer. Base : 225 Bonus: standard 15% Signon: 60k GSUs: 450k Location: bay area I really think I should have pushed a bit more on the stock. But my competing offer at square(other were LinkedIn and a couple of startups). was on the same line
- vote Google or Apple Without bringing in total comp as both google and Apple would bring a higher tc than what I have, where would someone have a better wlb, perks, career growth as a Tpm/epm etc? Current tc: 160 #google #Apple
- Google RTO be like I’m so glad Meta is letting us keep wfh. My friend at San Jose is not happy with RTO.
- I love Google Just an appreciation post for Google. I joined Google from a smaller company last year and I couldn’t really understand why people loved working at Google so much. After being here for a year and few months, I can see why. You really get to work with super smart people. You really feel like the com
- Google Recruiters Premise: Recruiter wants a chat with me to discuss on-site feedback Are Google recruiters supposed to only give feedback over the phone after an on-site? How long does the convo usually take to go over on-site? I hear the next phase after on-site would be team matching, but would discussing the fe
- Google interview question Leetcode 2128 remove all ones with row and column flips. Took me a while to get this and eventually just was able to guess it after a while of guessing optimal solutions. Would an interviewer really expect someone to figure out this though? Even as someone who frequently attends cp contests (2200 r
- vote Robinhood v Google Both roles in Security. L4 at Robinhood (remote) L3 Google (Bay area) The team and the work at Robinhood seems much more exciting but I'm also concerned about the lack of stability, being on a STEM OPT. Google seems to have more internal mobility and brand name. My goal is to work a jobs for ~2

- vote Fuck Google Interviews Seemingly neverending process Absolutely disrespectful to interviewee's time No clue which team you're going to work in Need written offers to negotiate. Company is fine, interview process is not. Update: Got an offer, not joining. The process made me salty.

- Google just got easier: no more team matching Google hiring policy change. Will no longer do team matching, it'll become team-based hiring instead. - Before: 4 algo rounds general hire -> Hiring committee - Now: 2 algo round + 1 domain knowledge + hiring manager round (all team-specific) The rationale is current system outputs a lot of fal
- vote Meta E5 or Google L5 ? Options in the poll. No refreshers included. Meta E6 borderline feedback. Similar work profile at both Meta and Google. Newer/smaller team at Google. - Harvard or Google PM? Currently an IC5 PM at Meta. Extremely burnt out of being at Meta, both the company and work. Have an L5 offer from Google (numbers coming) and an acceptance from Harvard business school. - Damn Google TC: 🥜
- I love you Google I’m very grateful to be here even though I’m downleveled and low balled. The culture at google is amazing :)
- Folks currently interviewing with Google Did you undergo team match before On-site, before HC or after HC? Did anyone get to skip HC?
- vote Google vs. Tiktok Currently at Google, TC~400k per year. Received Tiktok offer (working in MTV), 30% more in TC. Google is a great company, but very crowded for career growth. Tiktok has potentials, but is probably worse in culture and wlb, risky in future. Should I stay in Google or join tiktok?
- Mixed feedback from google Looks like I didn’t get it this time boys 🥲. Taking another senior offer with 70% bump in TC. Will try again big G and meta next year, good luck to everyone else!
