Job asked if I have an offer before they make an offer or they’ll just keep interviewing people. They’re unicorn fishing.
My experience mainly includes startups and mid-sized companies. And I'm from a Tier 3 school (which matters in India) I'm amazed that a recruiter reached out to me, I got through Google's interviews and they made an offer! However I would've gotten more TC. Here are some things that I (you) shouldn'...Read more

Probably wouldn’t share any further to avoid doxing myself. 1. I mostly applied only on linked in. Like 90%. I have daily alert set up filtering on the t...Read more
Why do people think Amazon pays 400k for SDE2? Just cause this happened once or twice for extreme exception cases doesn’t make it the norm. Go look at levels.fyi for offers. Unless you live in Bay Area you lucky to see 300k offer for SDE2. Amazon pay isn’t that great stop getting so excited.
I used to see so many offer evaluation posts and most of times multiple offers. And now there is barely any offer posts. TC - 330k
Was fortunate enough to get a job offer at a large corporation. I've been told usually doesn't hurt to try to ask some more, despite current economic situation. I am sure it varies from company to company so feel free to share your experience. What happens when the team has decided to make an offer? Does the recruiter propose the initial number and then have it approved? Or how is the number arrived on?
First, I'm very happy with the decision to accept the offer. I'm putting this post out there to see if anyone has been in this situation, and get some stories. I accepted a PM offer at a pre-IPO company and its about ~70% higher TC than mine currently. But reading through recent posts, people are g...Read more
