Compensation is not bad since the recruiters are so desperate to fill their jobs asap that you can ask for the world without any attention to internal compression.
It’s a dog eat dog world now. No longer is Gap the company that values or supports family or cares about employee engagement, loyalty or tenure. You move up by who you know and how you look. Forget about diversity in the workplace. That’s all lip service. If you’re white and tall, this place is perfect for you.

Tech execs (VPs) or even GMs/Directors make so much more than their direct reports; it's kind of insane. Do they really bring so much more value? Most of the time, they're outsourcing decision making to principals/seniors who do most of the heavy lifting. Doesn't justify the TC gap.

I have a lot of RSUs at my current company. If I leave I am fairly certain I can get an initial grant equal to what I have today. But if the RSUs don’t vest for a year my income will go down the first year I am employed. My current RSU vests quarterly. How do people get around this gap?
