If you’re at a company that’s growing in any influential role, you need to understand what infrastructure to invest in: 1. Code repositories 2. Build and deploy tools 3. Runtime infrastructure 4. Dev, test tooling Many companies wait too long and that slows down product dev. Let’s trade infra st...Read more

The thing I like about Google is it is quite enjoyable to use the internal infrastructures. I don't care for other perks since I don't have much free time to enjoy them. Wondering what other companies have good infra? Netflix? I know fb is very hacky. TC. Low 200's Yoe 9
Relatively new to blind. Working for a small ISP and am tired of the outdated environment and TC. What are some good companies hiring on the infrastructure/cloud eng side of things? A recruiter reached out to me about an infra engineer position in a mid sized, pre IPO company. I have zero experience designing large scale distributed systems and am from a client development background. Is there any chance of getting hired? This is for a Senior dev role.
By good infrastructure I mean automation and everything is well configured. SWE only need to focus on coding and do not need to care about package installation, deployment, etc.
I enjoy the infrastructure side of tech, like using Terraform, Kubernetes, even writing small applications / "glue" code for integrations. What are some of the best places to work for infrastructure/devops, in terms of TC and WLB? #kubernetes #docker #containers #devops #cloud
I was wondering if IT engineers/managers (other than those who are in software engineering) makes as much money as software engineers and engineering managers make at FAANG companies. #Apple #amazon #Netflix #google
My dad (boomer) is looking to switch jobs for a couple years before he retires. From what I understand he has a masters in CS and is an expert at UNIX/Linux, Jenkins, and stuff like that. I don’t know too much about that world tbh (I’m a front end dev). He currently is low (relatively) paid and bee...Read more
