On LinkedIn, I see a ton of people who attend these specific tech conferences yet it’s never anybody I really know. I’d love to go but feel like I have too much on my plate at work and I’d rather spend that time working than taking 2-3 off. Do you go to conferences? If so, why?

Strictly speaking about tech innovation, how is Twitter compared against other social network companies like Facebook and LinkedIn? Co-worker got a LinkedIn invite to attend Oilcomm Conference Oct 2-3 in Houston. Has anyone gone? Worth looking into? Asking bc we’re in San Ramon and he would have to deal with expensing a trip for it.
One of my co-workers is moonlighting. I think he has taken up a 100% remote job in the Eastern time zone. (We are in the Bay Area offices). He has been missing meetings or blocking random times on his calendar. For RTO days, I have seen him going to a conference room with a different laptop. He has ...Read more

It looks like the spring and fall internships are rare when I see job postings. Yet there are a lot of grad students on LinkedIn who get internships during Fall or Spring. Is it because they made networks/connections during a conference and somehow end-up getting an "invite" to interview? Think of...Read more
Stop it. Just stop it. I've seen a flurry of LinkedIn posts talking about how excited everyone is to RTO. I would do a 40 minute ...Read more
I was curious why Amazon can't develop anything that holds a candle to ChatGPT despite 5B+ year over year losses on Alexa and 10k engineers.
