- kind working team… genuine and authentic - incredibly smart and thoughtful people at all levels, on most teams - interesting opportunity space with tangible problems to solve and high potential for innovation - thoughtful focus on customers/users on most teams, with more and more company investment in how to do this effectively - recent investments in strategically aligning the organization and creating clarity in operations to support initiatives are beginning to help
Executives and senior leaders are terrible at investing in, growing and empowering the leaders under them, rather than holding them accountable and valuing their expertise and insights, they tend to bottleneck, micromanage and ignore the smart and thoughtful people they have hired. This has a three fold effect of eroding confidence in leadership overall, alienating working teams, and causing a culture of distrust, speculation and poor communication. Because everyone is “so nice”, and leadership is taking the tactic of micromanaging, a lot of things that could be worked through are left unsaid, and candor is absent at all levels. If Lyft can rightsize the above, by working with their leaders rather than around them; and investing in more leaders that are held accountable to contribute, drive, communicate and deliver …it will absolutely find itself on the right path.
Used to be able to use Wageworks for Uber or Lyft commuting to work before COVID, but don't seem to see the options now on Wageworks... Can we still use Wageworks commuter benefits for Uber or Lyft rides to commute to work? Based in the Bay Area, CA

I'm really interested in those new condos and townhomes being built in Fremont. However, the commute to Lyft SF would involve a 1 hour Bart ride plus a half hour walk to the Lyft SF office. Each way. That is 3 hours a day spent on commuting. In the past, my commute to any job has never been longer t...Read more

So many fake news circulating about Lyft CEO. 1. No baee pay cut. Only Equity cuts to limit dilution. Idea is if stock goes up then we all make money. 2. No mandatory RTO. RTO from Sep only for people close to office. If you moved elsewhere and can’t commute - no issues. RTO only 3 days. 3. David ...Read more

I Live in SF and got an offer from Lyft a few weeks ago, 160/200 (non engineer role). Unlimited vacation, short commute and free food are enticing. I use Lyft pass to commute to the office. So far, I have been driven by more than 20 lyft drivers. All of them have a 5 star rating. How’s it possible? They don’t even share the number of people who have rated the driver. What a load of crap. Tc 280k
What are the commute options from East side, Redmond and Bellevue, to Facebook campus? Are Lyft pools allowed? What about cheaper parking near Facebook building? Would appreciate if I can get some answers here.
In SF, have a job interview down in Mountain View and the cost on Waze Carpool was estimated as less than my Uber/Lyft to current job in SF. How the fuck does someone without driver's license (NYC born & raised) commute without giving up hours of their life to public transpo.
Out of curiosity, how does your company support your commute to the office? I’ll start to share that visa offers shuttle services around the Bay Area, with 2 loops on Tuesday-Thursdays and a single loop on Monday/Friday. They cut the Monday/Friday 2nd loop for cost savings. Wondering if Visa’s comm...Read more

I understand it has advantages for retail stores or restaurants in busy areas. But for Software companies, e.g. Amazon, Uber, Lyft chose offices on very busy streets. It is difficult for Empoyees to commute and parking, and it costs more for companies. Other companies like Google and Facebook chose...Read more
