Lots of competent colleagues; you will work with good engineers who can get things done. The infra is pretty good which enables you to be productive. Perks are great and all-cash compensation is pretty nice too.
Management in engineering is so-so from my experience, really good explicit communication but also not willing to put the right process in place to make planning and execution as efficient as it could be. The company is changing a lot right now as it transitions from the old no-level world to a more typical organization with lots of juniors, fair number of seniors, and a few staff+. I think the change will be for the best in the long run but the culture hasn't quite adapted yet.
I completed the first round of the Netflix panel interview a week ago and have yet to hear back from the recruiter. The interviews were all technical and seemed to go well. All interviewers seemed happy with my responses. I sent a thank-you email immediately after the interview, followed by a follow...Read more
I have interviewed with Netflix twice for L5 roles. Both times, the interview feedback was very positive, even though I did not receive an offer. 💪The culture memo: “positive and constructive feedback is part of everyday life—not only an annual event. Meaningful feedback can be hard to give or accept. But like any new habit, it gets easier with practice. So we help people learn to give and receive feedback through coaching and modeling the ...Read more
I had a final interview with Netflix for an L5 position 2 Fridays ago. This past Friday, the recruiter reached out and said they’re still analyzing feedback and finishing interviews and that I should expect to hear back by the following Friday. Is this a bad sign? I feel like if I was their number o...Read more

In offer discussion phase with Netflix. Team seems pretty excited to have me, final numbers yet to hear. My recruiter gave me the following interview on a tech screen: "Your interviewer highlighted communication as an area that you excelled in and did mention that you made a great impression. Received a rejection after Round 1 (Design + Coding + Ops + Culture) and the feedback was quoted to be related to communication. I'm planning to apply and hoping someone would be willing to chat about a possible referral after reviewing my resume and portfolio. I don't expect anyone to just refer without feeling confident in my skills, and at the least it'd be an opportunity for feedback on my resume. This is a content role...Read more
1. Assume all the companies provide competitive salaries top of the market, with Airbnb, Lyft, Reddit and Netflix as Top of market with few thousand dollars + or -. 2. Airbnb having highest overall compensation 3. Role relevance order and match are at: Airbnb >; Reddit >; Netflix >; Lyft >;
As title. Is that normal? They tend to reject or move quite fast!
As title. I had a phone screen today. How long does Netflix take to either move you to the next step or reject you? Anyone with some experience here.
As title. I had an on-site (3 technical rounds) last Thursday. How soon does Netflix reply? Anyone with some experience here? People tend to say that it replies really fast. Especially for a No. hahaha
I wanna know if I'd get the next round. The interviewer said I listened the best and I am clear and communicative, but I lacked technical depth especially in the area of analytics the interviewer leads. I am not told if I'll go to the round , but the interviewer says whether I get this job or not ,...Read more
