I work at a small company and recently we've been acquired. With all the changes going on we've switched from having our own HR to hiring an external HR company to figure out employee payment. They couldn't get everyone's direct deposit ready in time, so they ended up paying everyone checks...excep...Read more

And now, reports suggest it’s in dire need of money and had to raise $1 billion on the spot. I don’t blame the company. They ar...Read more

My last day was on 8/31 and I received a direct deposit on that Friday. Today I received 2 direct deposits. One is the usual amount and the other is about 70% of the usual paycheck. Any ideas what’s going on and if this money is safe to use?
Sometimes I feel sorry for getting paid hundreds/thousands of dollars for a day that I nearly did nothing.

I inspected my last paycheck more closely and saw that I actually recieved my typical pay without the pay reduction. I’m not sure if I need to report this to my manager or HR, or pretend ...Read more

My last company kept paying me because my manager apparently never put in leave order after I left the company. Now I get an email from them asking to pay back ~$300 more than what I was paid over the last 2 months. Can I do anything about this as its their fault plus they are wanting me to pay more...Read more

Wondering how many truly love the company they work for and not just for paychecks or other reasons.

No work. I just clock in and out 3 days a week. My manager can’t fire me so he just doesn’t assign work to me. I collect a paycheck every month but I won’t grow in this role because the team is weak and politics is everywhere. Turnover in the company is high (people that worked here for 8 years ...Read more
