- Open source - Promotion does seem to be prioritized over hiring externally - Still pretty decent WLB, no expectation to work outside of regular hours, never had a problem taking PTO - All of my direct managers have been great
- Pay is mediocre at best despite them seemingly trying to gaslight us into believing that RH comp is above average for every level from the bottom of the payband to the top (they claim <100k is above market midpoint for senior roles) - subpoint on pay: they announced that bands were being raised in Q1, but then announced raises are essentially unavailable until Q4, way to rub it in our faces that we're being underpaid for a year. - Culture has significantly degraded since the layoffs, everything feels way more cutthroat now - WLB is getting significantly worse than it was, it's still ok, but it's no longer great - Trust in the engineers to be good at their jobs has gone down, and freedom in our work has gone down with it - Leadership beyond the frontline managers seem to have no idea what they're doing, there are constant re-orgs and priority changes - Working in office is getting pushed harder and harder
