Good to have on your resume for next future jobs
No work life balance, 60+ hours is the expectation for everyone
Interesting product and projects, amazing work life balance, generally good people
Uninspiring leadership, terrible middle management, massive bureaucracy considering company size, CEO is completely unqualified and demotivating, awful product prioritization, rampant technical debt, and no real decision making capability by ICs or line managers. Things used to be better, but culture and company has been on a steady decline.
Found lot of websites down? Did you guys also see it?

Just a heads up that this is extra anonymized for Reddit, but I worked in a very specific subset of search, so all the references are towards that domain (it helps with some of the context). I shared it on Reddit and got kind of torn apart by people who said it wasn't technical enough. They said th...Read more
I recently went through an interview cycle where I did really well landing multiple offers. My top choices were between a Frontend Engineer position at AWS and a SWE position at reddit. ~5 month Noogler TPM here. Left AWS to get out of toxic culture, but got stuck with toxic ex-AWS leaders in GCP, pushing the same unrealistic agenda to ex-Amazons they've been target recruiting. There's a heavy match opening at Reddit I'm interested in. If anyone can help me out with a referral, I'...Read more
