Tons of politics, resulting in overly competitive toxic teammates. I heard slack had good culture, but maybe not anymore. Senior leadership does not give proper support nor listen to anyone other than C suite. Really top down feel.
I am studying for the Slack technical screening. It says I will encounter one coding problem. Should I study the Salesforce tagged coding problems on leetcode since Salesforce owns Slack or study the Slack tagged coding problems? #slack #engineering #software #swe #leetcode #interview
what they look for in the code review ? should I be more strict or generous in code commenting .. I have no idea how they judge it
slack code review coming up. can you give a sense of what is expected? #interview
What should I expect in slack take home code review interview? Does the code review have actual bugs or is it just commenting on styling and stuff? Tc: 240k Yoe: 3
Has anyone done a take-home code review test for slack? Any idea what's exactly is expected? What are they grading for since its language agnostic and i'm not supposed to write code? Just find bugs in a PR? #slack
I have a coder pad round for slack including sql and Python and would love to know what to expect? #dataanalytics #datascience
If yes, how does that work? Can any Slack employee please share it with me?
The take home exercise is said to be a code review. It is not. It is a strict coding challenge with a predetermined grading rubric - they will look for and judge precise code solutions, which you translate into the form of comments on a fake PR. You have to download, run, debug, fix and test ~700 l...Read more
I have an interview with Slack, I was told I would have a round where I do a coding exercise where I create some kind of PR to their existing code base, has anyone done this round for Slack before and if so what should I expect? Tc~200k Yoe~3.5
See openings for Senior Staff SWE at slack. Can they beat my current TC ~550K and what is the interview process like (leet code vs more FE specific). yoe 12 #slack #salesforce

When I apply for security engineer roles at FAANG that require coding skills it seems that I always get auto rejected with no interview. I did each question on Blind 75 4-5 times now (skipped DP, Hard, and Premium). My Amazon SDE-1 loop is scheduled next week. (3 coding rounds, no systems design or object oriented design). I get that Blind 75 helps us recognize the pattern. What else can I do with 1 week away? What are my odds of pa...Read more

Anyone been through the SRE interview at Slack, recently? How was the interview process and what sort of topics being covered? Leet code or practical coding? How's the WLB, culture at Slack, especially the SRE teams. Thanks! TC: 60L YOE: 9
So I've an interview coming up with slack. The recruiter sent some pre reqs saying that I'll have to code a function in Python that would output some Slack Block kit in JSON ( https://api.slack.com/block-kit ). What's that supposed to mean? This is for a fullstack role. Anybody interviewed recent...Read more
A recruiter at Google told me that, so I want to ask Googlers at Blind, before you join Google, how much of your time at work is spent on coding? I found I spent around half of my time on meetings, writing/reading docs, Slack with someone, etc. How could a SWE spend 80%+ of the time on coding only?...Read more
Any suggestions to prepare for SRE position at slack? It is a video pair coding exercise challenge. #slack #sre #interview #reliability #devops
Heard some rumors that Uber got hacked and had a data breach. Source code from some of their monorepos, confluence and secrets were stolen. I saw a screenshot from their internal slack but could’ve been faked. Can anyone confirm?
