Tons of politics, resulting in overly competitive toxic teammates. I heard slack had good culture, but maybe not anymore. Senior leadership does not give proper support nor listen to anyone other than C suite. Really top down feel.
I love Slack but it’s been disappointing as a business and as a service. 1. No new features. 2. Video chat quality has never been improved. 3. Comes with app integrations but they don’t generate revenue. 4. have to keep the software cheap in order to be competitivite. 5. Can’t even stand out as a W...Read more
Slack is my favorite tool to use and makes work more fun. It is constantly improving. It’s impressive and exciting to see features that improve my workflow that I didn’t even think of. Anyone from Slack willing to share how you innovate and move so quickly? #slack
Hi guys, I wonder how is it for a developer, tech wise and tools wise at crowd strike? 1. Do you use notion or similar systems? 2. Can I use modern ide like goland? 3. Can I use modern cloud features like lambda 4. How easy it is to launch new services? 5. How are the internal tools? 6. Do you use ...Read more
What are your favorite features of Slack? Is it really worth it? I've heard of teams loving it, but I'm skeptical of yet another collaboration/chat tool. TIA!

So to hit it's 2023 growth targets Twitter wants to "double the number of features shipped per employee" what does that mean. Everyone is gonna just work twice as much, or there's enough slack to find 2x more efficiency in the company? https://twitter.com/TwitterIR/status/1364941813589504001?s=20
Think about it. While the world moved on to chrome and firefox, these people just sat on their asses!! No improvement, no major features, nothing! Happy New Year! My aim is to find next such product and slack off with the benefits for years to come.
I am planning to build a community app similar to blind or reddit but for niche a domain and slightly different purpose. Instead of building an app, I set up a Slack workspace as MVP because Slack is easy to set up and already have most of the features I need. My leap of faith was that there are pe...Read more

Slack was the flagship trendy chat client the last few years. Everyone wanted to get onboard, and they got away with murder charging insane prices for a bloody chat client. But now, in the last few months all I see are non-stop bugs. To list a few off the top of my head: - The client freezing/cras...Read more
I posted a couple years ago, adding a shameless plug again given all the recent tech. lay-off's and uncertainty. I run a hardware interviewing website that concentrates on technical interview prep. for FANG companies, start-ups, etc. Anecdotally speaking, the resource has helped users land jobs at ...Read more

Hi, I really want to be a domain expert in my current team domain. So my company recently moved to SOA, and since then my existence as a product engineer has been just aweful. Instead of building features, I'm building service infrastructure outside my domain of expertise and interest. Our mesh infrastructure is a mess -- to dev I run multiple services and my compu...Read more
Going through some interviews at Notion. I've asked these questions to a few different people, but obviously the answers of people working there might be skewed in the context of an interview. So I thought I'd ask here: What are your thoughts on the outlook for Notion? Do they have staying power? I...Read more
I need some advice on how to handle a conflict with my PM’s boss.
