Square Reviews
- Square Review ratings accurate? Square seems to have top review rating (4.4) among tech companies on Blind. How accurate this is? The total number of reviews is only ~76 though. Is it more kool-aid talking? The TC offered by Square doesn’t seem to be very good, still its compensation rating is better then Uber and other pay master
- Square Comp review If only we had a private lounge... What's your percentage of increase?
- Square Hiring Bar Review of I finally got matched with a team at square and hiring manager gave the go ahead. The recruiter said that they will move forward with scheduling the hiring bar review. Anybody know what this means? Is the hiring bar same as hiring committee? Are there chances for rejection? YoE:15 Tc:300K #square

- Square (cash app) refreshers wrt 1 year cliff + other benefits Square (cash app) has a 1 year cliff for its initial stock grant. When is the annual review period and are you eligible for refreshers even if you’re in your cliff window? If so - can those start vesting before your 1 year cliff is up? Any other good benefits / perks people would want to highlight
- Looks like Square doesn’t have any bonus program I found it a bit strange…Doesn’t Square do annual performance review? If they do, what they provide instead of bonus? 🤷🏻♂️
- New Google offer after starting at Square I'm just over a month into my new role at Square. I received a notice from Google that I passed the HC and am on the team matching phase. The TC is 50% higher than Square (also because it's in Zurich). Is it appropriate to ask Square to review my compensation or is the only choice to leave Square a
- Hiring Bar How often does a Hiring Bar at Square end in rejection/an offer? Made it through all 6 interviews and recruiter said things are looking good and my info is being sent to a hiring bar to review/make a decision. Edit: got an offer!! 🎉

- vote Would you join TIDAL? TIDAL is now a part of Square but reviews of it aren’t too hot. Especially Glassdoor has huge red flags (like racism)…….? Would you join it if you had a good offer?
- Good teams at Square Asking for SWE roles. In company reviews, some people said culture varies by team: What teams have good support/wlb, autonomy, and growth opportunity at Square? Are there any teams to be cautious of?

- Interview process for Engineering Manager at Square I have applied for Engineering Manager role at Square and received reply for the first round of telephonic interview in the next week. This one is with the recruiter. I was checking about the interview process at Glassdoor for EM at Square but couldn’t find any information. There are reviews for S
- vote Should I I ask to re-do SD round? I had an interview with Square yesterday and their interview schedule was pretty brutal. 3 one hour coding reviews, one SD round, one behavioral, and one HM. My mind was definitely tapped by the time we hit the SD round and I performed just ok where I normally excel. I obviously haven’t heard from
- Twitter / Square Hiring Twitter hiring is so weird. I have been applying at several different positions at Twitter and Square. My applications are either always in applied state or in review state but I never get updates on them. My resume is ok as I have got interview calls from Amazon and Microsoft. What am I doing wron
- Apartment recommendations Redmond Looking for a newer apartment community close to Microsoft. ( Cant deal with bed bug infestations anymore) Toured Hyde Square , Liv and Avalon Esterra Park, but Liv and Hyde Square - the property management seemed rude and unfriendly. Avalon Esterra Park - i see a lot of bad reviews on Yelp and not
- Whose non-leetcode tech screen is the best? There are tradeoffs with any tech screen and leetcode for sure has upsides too, but I’m curious who folks think has the best non-leetcode tech screen, and why. Both from candidate side and the insight it gives you as a reviewer. I did some realistic ones with Slack, GitHub, Square, and Stripe and w
- Chime (FinTech) culture. Is it real? Eng only! I’ve seen really great reviews about chime here on blind (not so great on comparably). But lately I’ve also seen that a lot of people have been saying that the positive reviews and comments are coming from recruiters and kool aid drinkers. SWE / Eng at Chime, if you are out there please respond to

- vote Square min YOE For L5 Received a L4 offer from Square with 2 YOE. I am currently E4 with trajectory to promo to E5 this year at F. Would it be unreasonable to ask to consider if my interview performance could qualify me for L5? I read the Eng leveling docs and I want more scope (e.g. reviewing system designs, driving f
- vote Square Hiring Bar Recruiter told me I passed the onsite and was putting together a packet for the hiring bar. Is this just a formality, or is there still a (not small) chance of being rejected? Bombed one coding round, but also have internal references. All other rounds went well, including 2 other coding rounds. The

- AWS and CitSec Reviews There are few companies that get bludgeoned (beaten up) on Blind. Two such companies that come to my mind are 1. Citadel (also CitSec) and 2. Amazon (AWS). Both are fine companies to work for and also prestigious. They also pay well (on par) compared to other HFT and FAANGs. Why does Blind communi
- vote Leave With No Follow On or Gut It Out Basically I’ve been politically screwed in my org, and I can’t “let it go.” I constantly ruminate, to the point it affects sleep, personal life, etc. Promotion opp went to someone far less experienced/qualified (I’m not on pip nor bad reviews) because I do a bunch of complex/difficult crap work no o
- Response after Square Onsite Had my square onsite on June 7th and 8th. I thought the sessions went well. They said they are quite busy and would get back yesterday. It's one day after and I dropped a casual email to the recruiter with no reply yet. In the past, this means that an offer isn't coming. Is this normal? Update: I d

- vote Stay at Square or leave for Google? I joined Square as an L5 about a year ago, taking it over Google’s L4 offer. At the time, I felt much better about the company - my interview experience was better, the culture was more positive, I wanted remote work, even the offer was better (315k, yoe: 4.5), etc. Over the past year, I’ve felt th
