I’m a Front end Software engineer and just got moved to be the “full stack” engineer for another team. I have not touched the backend at all at this company, I have worked on the backend before, but I’m not sure it makes sense to do that without a raise.
Hi all! I am currently working at a startup that is growing rapidly. I’ve been here for a year now and do mainly front end development but have branched out to full stack. Recently, my manager also turned over all scrum master responsibilities to me. My dev workload has not been decreased. So curre...Read more

35% HV1 and 5% LE get 0% raise every year. So 35% are highly valued employees but get no raise. This is so unfair. First teammates are pitted against each other. Stack ranked by management. And then 40% get no raise. Fuck Amazon HR.
Is it worth the move? Recruiter reached out to me to schedule interviews but I am debating whether I should even bother. It seems like you get faster raises and better pay, and they are the hottest employer in the DFW area at the moment. Tech stacks at Toyota are the same though. Upside to Toyota is...Read more

I have been tech lead of a startup for about 3 years. I took a pay cut when I joined from 150k down to 110k when I joined. In this time I have not taken or asked for a raise. Not complaining because that’s just what it takes to work in a tech startup. I, along with my small team have built the ent...Read more
I currently am L5 at Google with $350k TC, joined out of undergrad and never left the company. Next year will be about $390k TC assuming the average rating and normal compensation cycle (although Microsoft just cut raises, so if Google follows it might be like $10k lower, but not much). Graduated CS in 2015 and making 90k (and some shares) at a Nyc startup with about 20 employees. They had a successful series A raise and been working almost a year and expecting a pay bump. The role is full stack, what can I expect?
I graduated last year and currently working as full stack at a Startup in North California and TC is 75K(No insurance, no 401K, nothing). Should I ask for raise and how much should I ask for? #startup #equity
