Good WLB, fairly compensated compared to market rate, unlimited PTO
The recent merger has brought in some toxic us vs them POVs. management is uninterested in resolving and brushes it under a rug. most people are just mean nowadays
It seems like the RIF on Thurs was a lot less than expected. Most of the deadwood in marketing, etc is still intact. Mostly just older guys and some management were let go. Anyone have a different take or more insight into different groups affected?

VMware has a great policy that keeps laid off employees on payroll for 3 months. This provides visa holders sufficient time to look for another job without getting deported. if/when boradcom acquires symantecs EBU then we fall under broadcoms severance plan. two questions: 1. can anybody comment on what their plan consists of? 2. is boradcom requored to give severence to everybody during a large layoff

So Broadcom will most certainly give VMware’s US employees offers & layoff notices about 2 weeks prior to the acquisition closing. For the other 59 countries VMware operates in, it’s unclear.
