Really kind-hearted coworkers, down to Earth, and more diverse than expected. People are the number one pro of this company, including most managers. Aside from that, the company is huge, which means there's ample opportunity to learn how the business works and contribute in new ways. Finally, there's stability. People tend to not worry about layoffs and getting fired here.
The company is exceedingly corporate and hierarchical. There's a fixation with what every Director / VP / Executive says even when what they said is fluff or doesn't apply at all to each Department or team. The hierarchy plus the cushy inner circle of leadership leads to ICs and Managers wasting long hours prepping highly polished, company-themes presentations to higher-ups and being incentivized to brag about what they've done more than doing something meaningful. More importantly, efforts that can't be measured or bragged about basically don't help you get promoted. This is especially problematic because the higher ups are fixated on valuations and impact, but because they don't know or don't care about details, critical work often goes undervalued. There's very limited career growth and paltry compensation considering the caliber of talent here. The RSUs take 2 years to vest 50%, the annual bonuses are very small, and there's no attempt to give raises that accomodate for inflation or even significant contributions. I'm rated highly at every annual evaluation but haven't had a single promotion in 2.5 years here and my salary has only budged 2-3% annually even with inflation at 4, 6, or 9% past few years. Lastly, the massive size of the company means many quick tasks to other teams (ones required to complete your job) take eons to be completed. Conversely, with the size and fixation on Directors and satiating their every ask, it's not uncommon to be dumped with a random ask because someone determines it can be outsourced to you and suddenly you're burdened with duties you won't be rewarded for.
