I would like to see how I'm perceived.
Hi, I joined a company last week as a contractor and am interviewing for the same company as a Full Time Employee for a different location. Does it help I should mention my contractor role or does it reduce any chances for not mentioning it.
So boring.
I am 13 yr exp with CTC 25 in Dell, have an offer from Capgemini for CTC 35. My wife and I started preparing for the interviews a couple of months back. We aimed to land jobs at the top tier companies. Today the dream has been fulfilled as we both signed the offers for LinkedIn (my wife) and Meta (me). We started with the topic wise revision of DS/Algo to have strong fundame...Read more
If you’re interviewing with Google right now, continue interviewing with other companies. They are now cancelling some roles and headcount so what you’re interviewing for right now, may not be available once the pause is over in 2 weeks or so. And we (recruiters) might not be able to pivot you to a ...Read more
Companies like G, Fb and Amazon which do generic hiring are better and atleast little luck based on interviewer. Otherwise, if we apply for a single opening like backend developer, full stack engineer at a company like Apple, Stripe, Snap etc. all the rounds have to be picture perfect with no error...Read more

I just finished a design interview with Tiktok with an Asian (non-Chinese) guy. Probably many folks will not believe, but I swear to God it's 100% true. Here is the script: Interviewer: Hi. When companies commit to being onsite at particular locations, such as the bay area or seattle, it limits the competition pool to people who are able and willing to abandon family & friends and move to these places. This keeps competition somewhat limited. If all the companies go remote, you will no...Read more
I see so many people having offers from FB, Google, Lyft, Netflix, etc. I got into Amazon through internship so never really had to work too hard for finding a job. For Amazon, I know we have hard interviews but our criteria is pretty lax so it's easy to score an offer at Amazon. How do people man...Read more
Companies do not have proper interviews anymore. Since the pandemic and resulting wide adoption of video calls, they schedule individual interviews in sequence. In the last 6 months I have interviewed at around 10 companies. In most of them I was able to solve the problem, explain my thought process and answer follow up questions. Despite this I’ve failed to clear most of them. Some of the feedback I have received 1. Skipped some edge case testing - my code...Read more
For folks, who are not aware of these companies new RSU policies, here's it in the nutshell. 1) Fixed bonus amount given in the form of stripe/instacart share. I know we like to say that there’s plenty of companies in tech but after having worked at several FAANG and recently getting laid off, it’s tough out here (especially in this market). Recruiters that aren’t on top of their stuff (yes I know we like to hate on FAANG recruiters but they’re much better...Read more
