You get to work with some of the best folks in tech, at least you used to. There are interesting problems to solve at scale.
Leadership used to be highly energetic, smart people with vision. The current CEO has slowly replaced those with corporate drones with limited tech experience who can mostly run a tape loop of asking for KPIs and keep folks busy with useless tactical reviews. Innovation has basically stalled and endless slide shows of almost the tiniest details have taken over.
Can someone from Uber confirm that their algorithm adds a weightage on the number of times you check the price for a route? Especially when there's a surge going on.
This was in SF. While searching for a ride Uber quoted a fare and it urged me to get Uber one which I bought then and when I came back the ride cost went up 33% even after Uber one discount 😇 Ended up taking Lyft
Have an interview with Uber for SWE position after new year. What should I expect in the algorithms round. Leetcode medium/hard? Is it in whiteboard or laptop? I also got a hacker rank link for the interview. Is it used in case the interview is conducted by a remote interviewer?

I came to know that there are more than 5 graph algorithms, such as DFS, Dijkstra's algorithm, Bellman Ford algorithm, Floyd-Warshall algorithm, Kosaraju algorithm, etc. But should one know all these algorithms? What are the most common graph algorithms asked in interviews? TC: 15lpa #google #me...Read more
I got Uber Freight onsite interview coming up in SF. What is the difficult level to expect. What type of algorithm and design questions. There's also laptop coding involved. SDE II level.
What are the front end interviews like at Uber? Are they algorithms lc problems or html/css/js problems?

Hi guys, Uber Amsterdam telephonic lined up. What to expect apart from DS, algorithm, problem solving?
What kind of questions to expect? Will it be a regular SDE loop with DS and algorithms or like Facebook with SQL and coding. @uber #uber
Hi Uber friends I would like to ask you to give me your honest opinion about the culture of uber team working on uber pricing algorithms. Also, Is the culture very deadline driven, intense, stressful? Do you feel heard and respected? Thanks so much for your help in advance. #Uber #ML
I have an on-site with Uber coming up, anyone know what the the following round entails? Zoom - Coding (Software Engineering) : Depth in specialization/chosen technology (Distributed Systems, Mobile, ML, etc.) *I know this one is the standard algorithmic round* Zoom - Coding (Software Engineering)...Read more
I hear stripe is very practice in nature, not very much algorithm content asked. Would Uber front end be roughly the same, or more CtCI/Leetcode leaning?
Hey guys, I did Uber phone interview recently. I was asked a leetcode hard. I had 40 minutes and figuring out the algorithm took me 35 and wrote a pseudo code as I didn't have time to finish it. What is the criteria usually for clearing the phone screen? If it is working code, then I am screwed.
Curious if anyone’s done the Uber front end Interview recently? The recruiter wasn’t much help when asking if it’s more algorithmic or practical based.

Uber recruiter told me there will be one live coding and an algorithm interview. Haven’t really got the clear answer on what is the difference between these two interviews. Does anyone have any insight? And whats the difficulty level should I expect ? #uber #tech #software #engineering
