Uber Revenue
- uber revenue number can uber inflate the revenue number by: 1. take higher percentage of each trip 2. to make driver happy, return part of that to drivers as incentives or bonus. then your revenue can be much higher, although the cost will be higher as well. although I do not think uber is doing that, or it matter
- link Uber Q2 revenue report discussion I am a fan of Uber, Let’s assume Uber is publicly traded with market cap of 62 billion, given this earning report, would you buy or sell? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/08/15/uber-q2-2018-revenue-bookings-slow-slightly.html
- link Uber revenue grew 18% in Q1? Is the growth slowing down? Just a reference, Google grew 18% in Q1 on a $22B revenue and Amazon grew almost 25% on a $30B in revenue. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/31/uber-posts-massive-loss-wsj.html Ahh I see, this is in comparison to Uber Q4 revenue, which would be traditionally higher.
- Did Uber or Lyft release any revenue numbers in all hands? I'm afraid of their business Thinking of applying to Uber/Lyft but afraid of their financials (if no one is riding, they aren't making money). In recent all hands, did they release info on how they are doing? I know a few months ago they were down 90%.

- Snowflake and Uber market cap Snowflake made about 264 million in revenue in 2019 whereas Uber made around 14 billion in revenue. Both companies are not profitable and despite Uber having ~70x the revenue the market cap of both these companies is almost the same. Snowflake’s revenue is growing much faster than Uber, but despite
- How Shares Are Priced (Uber @ $35) A quick primer for stock market noobs: Companies in similar industries fall within a range of valuation metrics. Since both Lyft and Uber have negative earnings, we can’t use P/E (price to earnings) as the benchmark. Both companies have revenue, however: Lyft $3B annual revenue $15B valuation (ma
- Airpods Revenue vs. Top Tech Companies| Airpods is just $2 billion shy of Netflix's total revenue https://i.redd.it/oo52wnmjbcx61.png Amazing company. I admire Apple's ability to create new revenue streams. In less than 5 years, Airpods makes more revenue than the likes of Adobe, Uber and Nvidia. #tech
- Is Uber going to cancel the Summer internship ? As Uber is not having much revenue now, due to Covid19 and burning lots of cash, are there any chances Uber might cancel their internship program to save some cash ? #Uber #Lyft
- Unable to understand Uber loses If the revenue is 3.5 billion, this is basically Ubers cut from the transaction. So this is the money I paid - what Uber paid to drivers. This revenue is after incentives and coupons etc. Then how is Uber spending the 3.5 billion dollars. That is Lot of money, you certainly don't pay aws and engin
- Uber growth slowing - concerned? Last quarter report only shows 2% growth in revenue. How is Uber valuation gonna be affected. Have an offer so trying to find out how this changes things. @uber

- Slack valuation?! $25bn for a company with $400m revenue and -$140m operating loss?! I thought even Uber was a bit overvalued @ $80bn with $11bn revenue and $3bn loss. How do you arrive at Slack’s value?
- Can Lyft get back to growth? Lyft has not tried new areas like Uber has with Eats and Freight. Will Lyft be around in 2022, or will it just be a shell of company? Uber meanwhile is overvalued, but has significant market share globally and diversified revenue. #ridesharing #lyft #uber

- vote Money Making Strategy Here Hi Blind, hear me out. So now that Uber is down and Lyft is up, we all buy long Uber calls and Short lyft. All of us delete our Lyft apps and only ride Uber, we raise Ubers revenue for their next earnings and profit, and then switch strategies to profiting Lyft afterwards. Who's with me?!?!?!
- Recent Layoffs: Which employees were let go? Lyft, Uber, Airbnb, and many more. Did they let go of engineers purely based on business unit? What happened to the strong engineers on unnecessary and non revenue generating teams?
- Great recovery Airbnb! Just read through Airbnb earnings. It was amazing how Airbnb pull through the pandemic with 2021 Q3 revenue more than double that of precovid! I really appreciate Airbnb’s emphasis on improving experience for ‘hosts’. Other P2P(DD, Uber, Instacart) should start to learn from Airbnb and improve the (
- vote [INDIA] What is this all hullabaloo about bubble burst? 🙄 Last few days I have seen too many posts on LinkedIn and blind where people say that the Indian TC bubble will burst. The reasoning they give is that these TCs are driven by VC firms overvaluing Indian startups. The biggest flaw I find in this is that Indian startups are not even the top market paye
- Concern about Uber Business I just realized that Uber doesn’t have a dominant big market. Is it possible that DIDI will massive subsidize rides in Australia to gain market share from Uber as it has cash and a big source of revenue from China. So it’s like DIDI will utilize its profit to eat the pie from Uber little by little
- DoorDash made more revenue than Lyft in 2020 Understand that COVID decimated rideshare but I’m honestly surprised at DD’s 2.9 billion revenue compared to Lyft’s 2.3 billion. DoorDash has 1,000 fewer employees so the dollar to employee efficiency makes it even more impressive. If Lyft captures 45% of the market compared to Uber and still only

- vote Which is a better buy $UBER or $ABNB They are both valued at around $110bn. Other than gross booking, what is a factor for a long term success of each of the businesses? Most importantly, which has more potential to expand and innovate to increase revenue? I like Uber since it seems to be less inflated than Airbnb at current levels.
- How much does your company make off of you? How much marketcap? Just something fun I did to understand how much revenue public companies are generating per employee. Some data points might be off and some should be taken with a grain of salt since companies are in different industries (consumer retail vs enterprise software). I got employee count data from googl
- Uber ATG engineers are on the chop board this time? Rumor? Because Uber ATG could not bring in much revenue yet with clear picture.#layoff To preserve cash, it will be gone with some engineers move to other teams and rest will be let go. - Lyft is 50% down year over year, yet Uber and Lyft stocks are up? I'm trying to understand how the market works.
