Bad management and career growth due to leadership since 2020
Hello, I am starting at Uber soon as an L4 SWE, I had some questions about annual rewards (that's at least what we call it at Microsoft). I don't have access to internals yet so asking here. 1. Does this include a salary increase? (I assume based on performance if so) 2. If there is a salary incre...Read more
Anyone is a diamond? I just signed up and instantly im a platinum which means I’ve spent too much money on it orz
Just curious how much my Uber shares will be worth today if I joined Uber as SDE 1 let’s say in 2012 or 2013?

Very smart of Uber to launch this plus give me platinum right off the bat. Ever since Uber Rewards, I’ve stopped opening all of the competitor apps, not just Lyft, but also Doordash and Postmates and Caviar.
Just found this amazing app and many active people. I have a question for uber friends. Is this company still worth joining now? ESP financial rewards? I would expect i fit into a sr lv position. My package at current company is around 330k/yr pretax :)
What are the rewards like for best performing employees in FAANG or at your org ? #faang #meta #uber #google #rewards
Been an UberEats customer since the first day of launch in my city in early 2017. Used it in multiple cities. Order a few times a month. All my orders arrive promptly in <; 25 minutes. Plus I get 5% back cause I use my Uber Credit card and additional points through Uber Gold Rewards. Thank you
Can someone tell me the reason I get so many Teslas as my Uber? Is there an increase in teslas or is it promotion based? I did puke in a Tesla the day I went platinum back when you had the rewards program. I’m not complaining, just curious the reason Tc: 250k
Tired of slogging all day and night. Working without breaks. Extremely burnt out and want to quit. No rewards or recognition for the hard work. Do New Grads working at other companies feel the same way ? Doordash has bad culture towards new grads and dump loads of work with no rewards. Should have...Read more
Moving to a new city and will be spending a lot in the next couple of months - furniture, home deco etc. Whole Foods is around the corner and not owning a car so will likely take Uber time to time. My job doesn't require any travel, so wondering which credit card would work best for me. Currently ...Read more
I’m a Dara believer. I suspect with his experience and travel chops, Uber will finally introduce a proper loyalty and rewards program, they’ll improve their terrible, over-designed mobile app, and create tighter app and business integrations for travel, dining, and hotels, as a company like Pricelin...Read more
I’m currently at Google as a L3 SWE (YOE <2) with a promise of promo in Sept. I have an offer from Uber at +1 level. When I told my manager and skip level manager of my intention to leave, they tried to get me to stay. One of them essentially said you’re well off at any other company than Uber,
It's been a while since I've added a new card and I have some expenses coming up so I figured now could be a good time to add since I should be able to hit the sign up bonuses. I currently have two low level/entry cards that I'm looking to use less (not great rewards/benefits) and then mainly I use ...Read more
Senior @ MSFT 4+ years. Have been through several reorgs and manager churns that I missed out on the Principal promo every time. I've had great connects, rewards. However, bad luck, stuck in a principal heavy org where someone has to leave to create a 'promo slot' (I know it's BS, but that's how it...Read more
This summer I will complete a year at Facebook and have 2.5 yoe. I’m an enterprise engineer making $155k ($125k base + bonus/RSU). I have interview requests for SWE roles at Google, LinkedIn, Uber, Lyft, Twitter + other companies I’m not interested in. I’m totally satisfied with everything about my...Read more
I’m 27 years old, living in a medium COL area. I finally achieved a net worth of 500k. Of course there are plenty of folks on Blind younger than me who have way more… But most of those people have really high-paying jobs, whereas I’ve never had a high-paying job. So this advice is for people who d...Read more

Hey all, I'm a 6 months Co-Op at Intuit, just at the end of my tenure (June 2023). Last week, I was told that my conversion to Full-Time would be on hold due to budget issues and I should look for back-ups now. But I don't have any backup :( I've worked so hard for an FTE here, but in the end, the ...Read more
