Compensation is not bad since the recruiters are so desperate to fill their jobs asap that you can ask for the world without any attention to internal compression.
It’s a dog eat dog world now. No longer is Gap the company that values or supports family or cares about employee engagement, loyalty or tenure. You move up by who you know and how you look. Forget about diversity in the workplace. That’s all lip service. If you’re white and tall, this place is perfect for you.

Advice please. It feels like alcohol fills in the gaps of loneliness and the general shittyness of working at Google. I’ve been averaging 4+ beers per night since joining G a few years ago. I never had this problem working at startups even when averaging 70 hours / week.
