Northwest Cornelius Pass Road reopened Tuesday afternoon to all traffic following an 11-week construction closure. Crews were able to complete safety improvements ahead of schedule. The construction zone had Cornelius Pass closed between U.S. 30 and Northwest Skyline Boulevard. A five-mile stretch of the road has seen a high rate of crashes in recent years, including fatal crashes and truck spills.
