“Bad CEO - enough said”

Verified User Current Employee · w******* · Product Manager - Feb 10, 2021

Pros- Almost impossible to get fired from this company at the analyst/mid-manager level. You could do nothing/the bare minimum and they will keep you around for YEARS

- Easy to get promoted if you direct all of your political influence toward the CEO

- Fair compensation and amazing benefits. Unlimited sick, decent health for its size, 401k is great

- Coworkers are nice and most are component

ConsThe one and only con is the CEO: he is the son of the founder who has a bachelor’s in Philosophy. Seriously. And boy does he philosophize. All while his company is totally tanking. Analysis paralysis, shiny object syndrome, and tunnel vision are all his MO.

He has poor leadership all around. He cannot take honest criticism when he’s the one who asks for it. And he will berate his fellow executives and even sometimes the middle managers if they have even a minor slip up. He will bring up your kids and say CRAZY things like would you mess up if your kids relied on you to do things right. He will threaten bonuses in departments if the company is down a week or two and will drag out promotions for clearly qualified people for like a year.

Message me if you want more scoop.
