“Interesting product, but it's a startup life”

Verified User Current Employee · D***** · Software Engineer - Oct 18, 2020

ProsYou'll be able to shape your journey and work as hard as you want to see changes in the company. It's in the process of being a really amazing company or really bad (it's too early to tell)

Cons1. Career growth is extremely tied to the company (if it doesn't grow, so do you). The company is still in the process of finding a product fit so it's a very risky time to join.
2. Compensation is similar to startups in the bay with most of the $$ in equity. There isn't much benefits at the moment (read, you have to buy and use a personal computer for work).
3. Company culture isn't really present but management is trying it's best. With COVID19, there's an added barrier in communication.
4. Some of the founders are first timers. This means you'll have to explore the "startup" path together rather than expecting everything to be perfect.
