ProsThey are at least trying to be competitive in base compensation to compensate for their horrible reputation and lack of benefits. Good coworkers, for the most part. People care and want to make the place better.
ConsRampant nepotism and cronyism at the very top. The founder’s son is obsessed with crypto and made several products accept crypto as payment even though, shocker, no one wants to pay for TV or cell phone service with crypto. Too execs are the good old boys who have worked there forever.
Absolutely archaic company culture. Straight out of the 80s and 90s. The founder and chairman is the main reason.
Dated and depressing HQ.
Something not going well? The go-to solution for top execs is to drown you in status update meetings that require several hours of preparation, instead of using that time to actually solve the problem.
Business decisions with huge implications for whether or not we hit our numbers are made on a whim by top execs with no rationale, then ICs are held accountable when that doesn’t work out.
Work from office required + assessments in hiring process + bad benefits + lengthy interview process = impossible to hire and retain too talent

Reasons for ResignationI didn’t feel like my product could succeed because of the issues described above.
