There are a few people who are actually pleasant to work with, willing to communicate, and who you can learn from if you're lucky enough to find them. The company seems to recognize some of their weaknesses on some level and say they want to change them, but unfortunately don't seem to act on/empower the change they need to stay relevant in this day and age and are stuck as a legacy IT company.
Only 20 days PTO, you still have to pay a decent amount for the health care (though the plan is ok), and only a minimal 401k match. No one is in charge of anything and there's no transparency, but everyone gets VP or Director titles to the point that it's impossible to actually get anything done because there are so many little fiefdoms with no clear divisions of labor, and no one willing to share information. Uncompetitive pay and they try to off-shore as much work as possible. Workload varies by team, but the general expectation is unrealistic hours for arbitrary deadlines. ~20+% of the workforce is fully remote, and over ~50% based in India, and yet somehow the US-culture is one of favoritism and pretending like remote/non-US employees don't exist with no communication or even attempt at developing a culture. In 1.5 years the only time there was a departmental-wide meeting was to discuss recent layoffs. Company-wide communication consists of just four hour-long town halls a year, and emails introducing the latest director/VP.
