-Lots of remote positions -lots of cool people to work with -relatively new company. -Not a bad entryway into some fields, but use it strictly as a stepping stone
- TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. From lower level managers to the CEO, the management is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The CEO is very cocky and a hypocrite who’s ruining the company and stock value. Higher level management are either 1. Hired by a friend or 2. Management because they’ve been there forever. There’s lots of people who should be regular SWEs or etc but because of their time there are now management. IT department head is a narcissist. CTO needs to lead and stop spam commenting on small PRs. -Company is spiraling the drain. Cutting lots of cost things like catered lunches, etc. CEO tanked stock prices and tried to claim it as a good thing. Media is eating the company alive with lots of bad PR. They have been caught lying about stats to secure contracts, and the CEO just rants on twitter about it. -So much military fetishism. So many internal systems are named after either military or comic book stuff. Makes things extra confusing and nobody has the guts to try and change it. -WLB in my position was nice, but others haven’t had the same luck. Infact, I was the exception to the rule. -Company exploded in employee count but didn’t change processes to reflect that. Onboarding is a mess of manual work done by overworked employees. You’re lucky if something wasn’t screwed up in your onboarding process. -Don’t believe their core values. “Don’t be a jerk”? Yeah, just about every higher up there is a jerk. This is a startup without the chill culture of one. ID.me likes to preach that they are “so chill and hip!!!” But in reality management will backstab you and pick favorites.
