- Lyft offer vs Google offer Got an offer for Lyft T6. I am currently at Google. Current TC - 400k, T5. Lyft TC - 600k, T6. Number of stocks is decided during vesting so no risk from stock price point of view. How is the culture currently at Lyft currently? I am on visa and definitely layoff would be detrimental. Thinking
- vote Lyft IPO Are you going to buy lyft stocks as soon as it becomes available? If not, comment why.
- vote Lyft vs Instacart Lyft (T5): 200k base, 800k stock, 65k sign on. Team is L5 simulation cloud. Any thoughts about the new RSU grant policy? Also, how is the Lyft's stock refresh every year? Instacart: 200k base, 740k equity / 4 year, 15k sign on. Team is ads infra. There is around 100k bump for my current TC. Which
- How many of you guys will be Lyft Millionaire tomorrow? So lyft is going public with expected price of 70 to 72$. With that price how many of you guys will be paper millionaire tomorrow and what will be your net worth. How much stock you hold?
- Companies that pay more than Google (SWE) Looking to find a new role, heard about Airbnb, FB, and Lyft paying more, but in terms of insurance, stocks, benefits not sure if this would be a good move. SWE L5/YoE 15/TC 350k/Bay Area
- vote Facebook vs SoFi vs Chime vs Lyft Facebook ~ $195k base - $300k stocks SoFi ~ $200k base - $290k stocks Chime ~ $175k base - $200k stocks Lyft ~ $185k base - $280k stocks
- L5 SWE offers at FB, Lyft, Snap, Dropbox Sharing my offers from 4 tech companies, after some negotiation. Offers are final. FB: Base $185k, bonus 15%, equity $500k, sign on $100k Lyft: 205, 0%, 700, 55 Snap: 180, ?%, 750, 40 (in stock) Dropbox: 185, 15%, 400, 15 Equity is for 4 years. EDIT: I had strong referrals for FB, Dropbox and Lyf
- vote Help me choose: Lyft vs. Microsoft Both are in Seattle/Redmond. Currently an L4 SDE at Amazon with 3 yoe. TC: ~170K 123k base Rest is stock. Lyft: TC: ~280K 165k base, 115k stock/year SWE, ML position. Pretty interesting. Microsoft: TC: ~165k 120k base 75k stock/4 years 15k sign on SWE, ML position. Like the work a bit more than L
- vote Robinhood might have a very successful IPO actually Think about back in march how Airbnb was suffering massive layoffs + uncertain future. But look at Airbnb millionaires! The stock had extremely successful IPO. Look at Lyft and Uber(which had $15 per share at some point) So in the midst of all chaos, Robinhood might actually be back.
- How much is your equity worth after ipo? Now uber, lyft and pinterest all go public. With a large number of stocks vested, how much tax do you owe? How much do you actually take home? I wonder if somebody can walk through an example. Thanks
- vote FB or Lyft? E5 FB: 200k base + 637k stock over 4 year + 95k sign on Lyft: 210k base + 840k stock over 4 year + 62k sign on. With 1 year vesting plan though (which means Lyft has no confidence in its own stock?) While for fb with the sign on its 420k per year. Fb has better benefits stuff No concern with tea
- Lyft Vs DoorDash My wife has offers from Doordash and Lyft. Roughly same TC (415k). Pros/Cons of each pls? Thoughts is that Lyft will eventually increase back in stock price (it is really rock bottom at these levels)..DD on the other hand at 16b seems stretched, wouldn't be surprised if they dip below 12b (post cov
- Lyft offer evaluation 12 years of exp Base 220k + signon 60k + around $1.1M RSU. At Apple now, I have a little more base and around $700k unvested stocks. A couple of questions: 1. Recruiter said they are “preliminary”... so any room for negotiation at all? 2. There’s No annual bonus or refresh at lyft? Thanks! @Ly
- Lyft offer Anyone know what’s the usual increment in base salary at Lyft? Also, how often is the stock refresher? There seems to be no bonus so wondering how they compensate for YoY increase in inflation and performance. Thanks! #Lyft
- vote Help me choose an offer (Lyft, Google, Amazon) I'm an L4 at Amazon with 2 YOE. TC: 172K Have offers from Lyft and Google and am not sure what to choose. Lyft: T4 TC: Base: 165K, Stock: 115K/year Team: Like the team. Google: L3 TC: Base: 135K, Stock: 65K/year 15% bonus Team: Kind of interesting. I'd take this because who says no to Google? Hav
- Lyft L5 I have been offered a senior Engineer in Vehicle team in Lyft L5 . Tc:140 Yoe:7 Rsu:10k Are they low balling ?
- Rank these top companies FAANGUMLLADP Facebook Apple Amazon Netflix Google Uber Microsoft Linkedin Lyft Airbnb Dropbox Pinterest Rakings are based off TC, WLB, Prestige, Career growth, benefits, RSU refreshers etc. My ranking is GF > NU > Apple/Airbnb > Linkedin/Lyft > Dropbox/Pintrest > Microsoft/Amazon TC:200K
- vote FB or Lyft Facebook base + bonus = Lyft base Facebook stock = 0.7 * Lyft stock Since fb is public, so comp wise it's equal. I have 2 years of industry experience. In terms of learning and career development, which one is better ?
- Lyft L6 PM to Stripe L4? Currently interviewing. I am a L6/M1 PM at Lyft with TC ~$650k. Been at Lyft for over 2 years so initual RSUs grant value has gone high quite alot. Breakdown: $220k cash and $430k stocks at today's valuation. Will Stripe L4 PM band match or beat $650k? @Lyft @Stripe
- vote Slack vs. Lyft Got an offer from Slack for LESS money but it's tempting because they can outgrow Lyft. What would you do? 2 years @ lyft $190k base $250/yr stock Slack $200k base $200k/yr stock $30 sign on bonus
- Instacart vs Other Gig? Looking at all the gig economy companies (Doordash, Uber, Lyft) it seems like Uber and Lyft have been doing terribly since IPO with no real recovery in sight (Uber stock is back down to 2014/2015 409A/PreferredPrice). Doordash seems like the only one which is keeping its levels (4x from pre-ipo 409
- vote Help evaluate offers from FB, Snap, Lyft Have offers from Snap, FB and Lyft in ML roles. SNAP is L4 and Lyft is T5 while FB is E4. Tried negotiating with FB for a higher level but they didn't budge. Really interested in FB because of their problem variety but the TC at Snap and Lyft is much higher. However, Snap and Lyft stocks are volatil
