Perfect work life balance: it is very chill… Personal office
Feudalistic mentality Change agnostic Very slow career growth Whatever you learn here is not easily transferable to other companies/jobs. They hire non CS people, majorly Mechanical and Electrical engineers. To lure Mechanical and Electrical engineers, they are offered more than market average for their respective domains. The people who join end up stuck. They gain skills that are not easily transferable. Most of the QEs don’t do anything related to their degrees. So, they lose touch with their degree education and gain skills that are not transferable. The Mechanical and Electrical graduates on H1b cannot switch to other software companies because they have to justify how their education relates to their job. In this process, MathWorks gets employees who will not be able to move anywhere easily. This is one of the reasons why MathWorks generally refrains from hiring CS graduates. It is a trap.
