“Worst move of my career - psychologically unsafe place to work”

Pros- unicorn and good industry
- some great ic’s and a few good lower level managers

Cons- low compensation compared to other Fintechs
- little to no work life balance with zero recognition when you go above and beyond
- performance cycle is total bull and makes no sense neither does the promo cycle and the worst thing is that leadership know and don’t care (pay reviews aren’t based on performance but more so who brown noses the leadership team)
- treatment of Works Council was and is bad (google it)
- sucking up and being a yes person will get you promoted - you don’t have to be good at what you do
- too many meetings with people making impact statements but no action behind their words
- agreements/action points made in meetings get changed as soon as the meeting is over
-no allies, toxic environment with people willing to step on you to get to the next level
- leadership do not care about diversity or any of the ERGs they have
- c level are very inexperienced and it’s visible
- treatment of NY office was indicative of how they treat employees (NY employees first found out the office was closing via the press) - leadership also had a party the day after the NY office closure was announced (completely tone deaf!)

Reasons for Resignation- culture of politics and covert bullying
- works council loathe the leadership and have an axe to grid making any decisions near important to execute upon
- pay is low and shares and benefits are awful/non existent
- using interims to fill important structural roles has not helped with establishing culture
- heavy compliance and admin processes
- high attrition
- poor leadership
