
The UK government is so scared of the cost-of-living crisis that it doesn’t want consumers to face higher bills for low-carbon innovations like heat pumps and solar panels. And it doesn’t want to use more taxpayers’ money to subsidise the rollout of green appliances in people’s homes, either.
