A disgraced North Bergen Department of Public Works supervisor's bid to have his 2015 corruption conviction thrown out was rejected by an appellate court Monday. Troy Bunero, who was convicted of performing political skullduggery and working on his boss' home while on duty, claimed in his appeal that the judge in his first appeal should have held an evidentiary hearing on claims that Bunero's trial attorney provided an ineffective defense.
