The Thunder Basin High School boys basketball team came one game away from a title but fell 55-40 to Cheyenne Central in the Class 4A State Championship Saturday night in Casper. After beating Green River and Star Valley to clinch a spot in the title game, the Bolts battled with the Indians but were ultimately outmatched as Central won its 26th championship in school history.

Willmar sophomore Kale Bockelman qualified for the Class A state swimming and diving championship with a fourth-place finish in diving Friday at Willmar High School. Bockelman finished with a score of 342.15. Princeton's Tony McNiff won the section champion with a score of 402.60, followed by Hutchinson's Alex Oestreich (397.80) and Monticello's MJ Arns (383.10).
