If you can survive here, you can survive anywhere. Made me a millionaire through stock appreciation over the years.
Absolute mayhem, at least in the Starship org. Ridiculous deadlines and designs seem half-assed to meet them. Expect to take on 2-3 people’s workload. Your sanity will be tested, but you will be rewarded if you can last 4-5 years and vest.
Anybody here been through the SpaceX hiring process? How long does it normally take them to let you know if you got the job or not?
hey! i have a hiring manager interview coming up with spacex. this is the step after the take home test. can anyone please share their experience? what to expect? any tips would be appreciated. thank you in advance! TC: 105K #tech #software #interview #engineer
So interviewed for a role in Hawthorne 2 weeks ago. Recruiter calls today and says congrats team approved but I need to get final approval from the executive hiring committee? Any insights on this? How likely to get rejected at this point?
I think there’s a reason for SpaceX’s practice, such as minimizing the risk of IP theft by other countries. Usually, it’s more reasonable to hire foreigners when it comes to cost savings. There are lots of h1b s and asylees in TSLA. But SpaceX is different. What do you think? US government sues E...Read more
1 yoe, assuming I apply when I have my TS/SCI+ Poly , are there positions? If they do, can I get a referral? 👀👀
I’ve been watching for years and have never seen an externally posted eng management job.
Saw the inspiration4 ad at the Super Bowl ad. I’m inspired by the mission. If you’re working at SpaceX, can you confirm? #engineering #software
If feels like Texas’ political environment could start to impact Elon’s ability to hire top talent. Vote and discuss.
My dream job is on the flight software engineering team at SpaceX. I applied a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything. I've even taken to directly messaging SpaceX recruiters on LinkedIn to try and move things along. Totally at a loss as to what I need to do to even get an interview. Any ideas fo...Read more

This is beyond hilarious. The same people are brazen enough to sue a former POTUS for risking confidential documents and sue our space program for refusing to leak confidential documents at the same time. What’s your take of Biden’s DOJ? #
Elon Musk personally approves hires at X and probably his other companies, too. He won't hire you if you've been laid off - no matter the reason. Can anyone at Boring Company, Neuralink, Tesla or SpaceX confirm? -- One red flag for Musk is a candidate who has previously been laid off. The billion...Read more
How come NASA/SpaceX stuff isn’t discussed here? There’s plenty of talk about FAANG and even 2/3 tier private companies. But I feel NASA is same or even higher tier than FAANG? They are primarily a tech company. Arguably the most interesting tech. Similar for SpaceX. I know many of y’all are on H1...Read more

Hey spacex employees any idea if spaceX is hiring remote employees (outside of the US)? Regards
DOJ is suing SpaceX for discriminating against refugees and asylum seekers in hiring practices, and hiring only citizens and LPRs. As an US citizen this lawsuit baffles me. Details - https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/24/doj-sues-spacex-alleging-hiring-discrimination.html The DOJ lawsuit seeks to win "f...Read more
@SpaceX recruiter reached our about a role, so, I started looking at their postings on LinkedIn and wow, all the salaries seem to be 10%-30% lower than other comparable companies/roles. Really disappointing because SpaceX interests me as a company. I had a preliminary call with the recruiter who re...Read more
Besides SpaceX and Blue Origin, which aerospace companies are hiring at the moment?
