If you get a good director/vp work life balance is good People are nice
If you’re not your directors favourite you’ll get nothing Hard to get promotions now Working in the office 3 days a week under the guise of collaboration yet many teams and heavily India based Not enough desks in offices
Good WLB, easy barely work, laid back, 50% discount on products.
Sinking ship, company is not profitable and were so many layoffs during my 2 years. Job is super boring, and now with 3 days back in office, it is crap. people are basic and boring- midwest culture, barely any interaction with colleagues so you get to listen to earphones the whole day. people are average and not aspiring to progress. Leadership is trying to do so much to save the company but nothing succeeds. Promotions are too strict based on who kisses more ass, and YOE, not true performance. office feels like a prison, 2 story cube with many tables in rooms without windows, 1 st floor is a bit below ground, so all you see is grass. So many employees left the company in the last year, and they cannot fill it out with proper talent. Management thinks it is normal ....
I’m talking to them now and they’re saying they’re looking to pay $180k – $190k salary. I’m on my way to the Google on-site, and I’m likely to fail. I’m talking to other companies, and I hate finance (the culture, the pretentiousness, the ‘boys club’ politics), but that’s a pretty high salary IMO—to...Read more
Almost had an interview with American Express just now. Was a Webex (gross) interview. I attempt to join via Firefox and Chrome with no luck. Hey how are the technical interviews for American Express?
Hi, recently completed my masters degree and have 3 yoe as SWE. Can anyone refer me at American Express or Expedia groups. TA #referral #help
I was told that I’m not technical enough and that I’m better suited for leadership. I don’t get it because I answered all of their questions. I even (very politely) corrected one of the interviewers (and the other interviewer cosigned) at some point with a technical explanation. I’m pretty insulted...Read more
