https://redf.in/j7cujk : Wondering why this home is still on market. Any clues ?
This home just sold for 3.55 million when the expected rent would be 4.5k/month. That is a 65:1 price to rent ratio. Property taxes + maintenance + insurance costs more per year than just to rent a house similiar to this. This home also sold for 245k in 1995. I get that people have the money here fo...Read more
The price is too high, making property tax too high. Plus the house is old and rundown. Not to mention the tax when selling your stocks. It pencils out better if you buy newer house in South SJ or Hayward and send kids to private schools. If mom and dad are rich, then it’s a different story… #hou...Read more
The price means super high property tax. That’s quite a premium for underfunded school district. Why not pay a much cheaper house but send kids to Stratford/Challenger? Also, it doesn’t have a nice view like Saratoga or San Carlos. #housing

Is there a difference between Stevens creek, Lincoln, William Regnart? For elementary schools. Also, why is sunnyvale more expensive than Cupertino? Seems like Cupertino has better schools. TC: 750k.
Moving there soon. What range should I be prepared to pay for a decent 1 bed or a 2 bed 2 bath in or around the area? By decent I mean, enough sunlight, no pests, working appliances, looks clean
