Initial comp was great; refreshes are harder to get and you have no leverage
Very fragmented; too many product areas; lots of bureaucracy.
Got a offer from Google Kirkland for L4 what should I expect for numbers? 6years, SDE2 at MSFT
A bit torn between the two right now. Front end engineer, got offers from both of these and Amazon (which I'm not as interested in). On the one hand Google is Google, but Microsoft lately has been on a tear culture wise/etc and I'd be able to use a lot of open source stuff there for web development...Read more
How is Kirkland compared to Seattle in terms of things to do after work and socialize with people ? Would you recommend a new grad to move to Kirkland from SLU? Is there anyone at Google who works at Kirkland office and commutes from Seattle? TC - 160k #misc
Which location is in your opinion better? I am single, female SWE in my 20s. I think it's nice in California and probably it's better to be in headquarters. I am tempted to take the offer to California despite the taxes and higher COL. Do you think it is a good idea?
Have an offer for google where I can choose office location. I like to drive but parking in SLU already a shit show and traffic east is horrible. Is parking available fremont / SLU / kirkland campus? What are shuttle availability like to SLU / Fremont?
Any info on which product groups are based out of Google Kirkland or which groups have teams there?
I’m joining Google Kirkland this summer and wanted to know more about the 6th st campus. Can someone share info on the amenities, cafes, gym, food, fun events, misc things to look forward to etc. Thanks in advance! TC: 295k #google #googlekirkland
Heard Google has already signed agreements to build a campus for 6000 people elsewhere. Once they have it ready the plan is to consolidate the Google Kirkland office with one east side location. Anybody know more or got other details?
Considering Google and not sure what the perks are at the Kirkland office. 1. Google has free food. What else? Googlers? Thanks :)
Starting at Google soon and I heard the daily garage prices at the Google Kirkland office are quite high for even a few hours ($25+) ..I have no choice but to take a car so are there any good options for cheaper parking nearby? Or business parking / street parking that won't cost me $50 each day?
Starting at Google soon - what can I expect at the Google Kirkland office? What are the amenities? ie. Gym, shuttle service, food, etc.
Googlers, Looking for a new job, SE/RSE. I have seen posts but I am not sure. First: - is G actually hiring? - do you guys have offices in Bellevue? If so, are they eng. offices or sales? - how's the Kirkland office? Are you guys doing 5 days a week RTO? #google
What teams/projects are in this area? The only one I know about is Google Cloud. #google #seattle #kirkland
I'm in the process of team matching after already signing my offer. However I have found out that there are more teams I've matched with for the Kirkland location compared to Fremont which is my preferred location (family nearby, know the area well, like being close to downtown). Does anyone have a...Read more
