Instacart has grown incredibly and it has created a lot of value. However, can we talk about how and why did AZ16 and Sequoia invested at 39B valuation 2.5 years ago. Down 80% in 2.5 years. I would like to know what were the calculations and mental gymnastics they did to rationalise the valuation. ...Read more

At Valuation, ppl who joined Instacart 3-4 years ago were given the options/RSU? https://t.co/F6gQe8DdvB
The changed the offer RSU to be money value instead of telling you the number of shares now. And the most skeptical thing is you won't know the exact number of shares until May. Which the HR said is when the share commit meet and decide on price per share.
I got an overwhelming amazing offer from Instacart. It's 50% more than what I make here at Amazon. However, I rejected it. Here's why. 1. Clawback clause. I don't think I can accept the risk of working for a company for few years and then something happens and I have to leave and I lose all the equ...Read more

You have come a long way and this is the day you see the light at the end of the tunnel Sorry for people who joined late but instacart offers at that time were extremely high so I hope you still come out good. For early joiners, congrats on your lambos and new homes
Instacart has seen tremendous growth in the last few weeks with some estimates that the company has sold in 3 weeks what it was projected to sell over the next 24 months. I'm glad I made the jump!
TL;DR: Don't use Instacart. I haven't actually used Instacart before.
