-Great work/life balance -Good benefits - insurance, PTO, have off week between Christmas and New Years
Things have progressively changed for the worse since the company went public, which may explain the difference in reviews from now vs a few years ago: -Secret layoffs you hear about through the rumor mill -Ongoing issues around diversity -Misled by upper management about promotions (where they even admitted fault) and they did nothing to correct this -Have seen raises/promotions/reviews given both positive and negative based on company whims vs employee performance -No ability to grow in position or move up for years (didn’t used to be like this)
anyone have experience with NerdWallet offers? Specifically, do they up level their offers based on interview results? How about if they offer you X and you have an offer from somewhere else that is higher, but not out of the ordinary? This is for a Sr. TPM role. #nerdwallet
Goal is confused between making lot of money for saving and chill at the same time. Tampa offer is remote Florida btw. No need to go to office. Nerdwallet says 200k,Tampa=490k NYC(Manhattan)
Nerdwallet calculator suggests COL is 44% higher in LA California as compared to Dallas TX. Which offer should I choose based on $ savings and long term plan to buy a single family house to live in (not renting)? How much can I negotiate on both offers and ask for sign on bonus or RSUs?

Can I use cost of living as a negotation for an offer? For example I make 105k TC in Houston, but based on NerdWallet that is the equivalent of 173k in Seattle. Is it a good argument? comments would be helpful on why or why not! thanks
