Lots of competent colleagues; you will work with good engineers who can get things done. The infra is pretty good which enables you to be productive. Perks are great and all-cash compensation is pretty nice too.
Management in engineering is so-so from my experience, really good explicit communication but also not willing to put the right process in place to make planning and execution as efficient as it could be. The company is changing a lot right now as it transitions from the old no-level world to a more typical organization with lots of juniors, fair number of seniors, and a few staff+. I think the change will be for the best in the long run but the culture hasn't quite adapted yet.
I’m in the final round for an Operations Manager (IC role) at Netflix. Role would be remote. I looked on Levels FYI and don’t see any info on similar roles. I know it’s a little niche but does anyone have insight on what I might expect? I asked the recruiter and she scheduled time next week (day bef...Read more

30% charge. Netflix doesn’t pay it. They have their own web based payment system and just use that. They don’t let users do in app purchases. Netflix doesn’t pay 30%. Twitter has the web payment system already. If he doesn’t want to pay 30% he can just do what Netflix does? 100% he doesn’t know t...Read more

Tried to sign up for Netflix, no payments go through. Tried two different cards and called my bank to make sure it’s all good. No attempt to charge my cards whatsoever so looks like Netflix has a really bad bug on the payment step. First attempts were last evening, so it’s been for at least 24 hrs...Read more
Really want to get my TC up to start saving significantly for a down payment on a home/condo. $200k would allow me to do so. Is this even attainable with 3 YOE as PM? Would rather have $200k base and like $220k TC than $140k base and $275k TC. Just finished my MBA as well, not sure if it means an...Read more

The 27% thing that apple is doing with 3rd party payments is just ridiculous.
