*Work - Life Balance: -Probably can't be beat at most other workplaces. -Flexible schedules and remote work. *Company Culture: -For the most part, people are nice and pleasant to work with.
*Turbulent Management and High Turnover: -Have had 4 different managers during my time here. -Management prioritizes an unquestioned loyalty to "Yelp" as a company, which results in the neglect of their own teams, as their needs and advocacy are sidelined in favor of preserving the company's interest. *Compensation Issues: -Lack of clarity/transparency in compensation structures and schedules (bordering on misinformation). -A notable incident involving an error made by them when issuing an incorrect compensation letter that was ultimately not honored, leading to a prolonged dispute and eventual pay cut. *Increasing Workload with Decreasing Pay: -Following layoffs and terminations, workloads have increased without corresponding adjustments in pay. *Neglected Career Development: -Set backs / stagnancy in growth because you essentially have to start over each time you get a new manager (which has been about once per year).

My wife runs a small home business. She had 70 all 5Star reviews on Yelp. Recently yelp started to filter her reviews and now she is left with only 29 reviews. This has impacted her business, she is also disturbed by this as Yelp helps generate most of her business. We tried complaining to Yelp b...Read more
Are they really trustworthy? People say contractors or car shops or whatever pay to buy good reviews. When you see a lot of plumbers have 5 star reviews do you believe it?

I shared my negative experiences ( all factual) about a local business. Within the day I got a call from them. They only know my first name, but they figured it’s me from the write up. They had months to resolve the issue but went quite. I don’t care or expect anything from them. I honestly don’t w...Read more
Yelp used to be the go to place for restaurant reviews, now Google reviews have more recent and relevant reviews. TC 500
Hey folks, Wanted to get input from the Yelpers here on blind. So my wife has a small business and got her first bad review. What’s the best course of action from here? Could anyone talk more about reviews that speak to business hours, offerings, and policies? The reviewer is upset with the busin...Read more
I received an offer from Yelp and they said they've chosen Search UX as the team that I will be put on. I am curious if anyone here knows what this team does? I am backend software engineer.
Lots of times when I searched for a restaurant, its reviews on Google were higher than its reviews on Yelp (4.8 on Google and 3.5 on Yelp, etc). Which one do you trust more?
I just looked up another company I used to work at and see that a lot of the negative reviews from before are gone. Makes me wonder if there is anything I can even trust on there anymore.

Out of 5 stars.
I am looking for a Bulldog puppy. I see a lot of great reviews on the site https://www.puppyspot.com/reviews , but yelp and BBB have some really bad reviews. I would love to hear any firsthand experiences.
I noticed some businesses have a ton of Google reviews mostly 5 stars but no reviews on Yelp or 3.5 Yelp reviews. Are those 5 stars reviews legit?
What are your reviews of Yelp and Yelp Germany for a software developer? How feasible is the internal transfer process to SF?
Doesn’t anyone know where doordash pulls its reviews from? Is it internal is it from google or yelp. I’ve tried looking but can’t find anything.
Why is Yelp only focused on location based ratings with long reviews? There is such opportunity for reviews beyond location such as products, events, activities, even people. Are there no product managers at Yelp?
I already explored yelp and I want reviews from my blind fam.
