For a company in the financial services industry, pay is very low compared to others in this sector. There’s no financial incentives to stay here once you attain a senior job level as the company’s bonus programs do not take number of years at the company into account.

Any suggestions on how to handle tax implications on vanguard etfs (voo, vti) once you move out of USA. I am not a us citizen or green card holder and hence will become a non resident. Heard that usa puts like a 30% tax on dividend and there is a 40% estate tax. What is the best strategy to minimize ...Read more

I’m extremely risk averse and conservative and don’t feel comfortable paying 20% down ($90,000) in case I lose my job or want to take a lower paying job. I would sell all my V...Read more

I invested $30k in Vanguard a few months ago, which has now dropped to $28.6k, so I'm down nearly 5%. Should I pull out? EDIT to clarify: My Vanguard money is mostly in equities.
