Some smart people who have been here 4 or 5 years and are great to learn from. The engineering culture set by senior engineers is good but it's not supported by engineering management which is unfortunate. The new CEO lets people do their jobs and does not interrupt or embarrass them.
Engineering Managers are highly variable, some try and build careers for people and promote them while others have no idea how to manage people and treat them as disposable. Compensation is significantly below market and the retention bonuses for engineers are a joke. The VP of People has no idea how to manage people in a tech company despite the former CEO stressing how she was an A player at Netflix. During the recent company in person meeting, the VP of Engineering set policies different to the rest of the company but told his managers to not say it came from him which came out in the middle of a bar when attending a gathering of people who were not in engineering. Everyone is required to be oncall, including when pregnant. The last CEO would argue spelling with employees during their presentations to the company.
Wealthfront have better %, but I found some negative reviews on consumer affairs, so I’m a bit scared transferring my money there. I’m planning to send 120k to HYSA account, open to any recommendations
Any recommendations for a good checking account? I see - Wealthfront has the best rate at 4.5% - SoFi has good reviews online, a nice signup bonus, but only .5% interest - Fidelity has good customer support 2.6% Looking for some suggestions between these and others
I recently started working in US. I realised my savings account with chase doesn't give any interest. Any suggestions for good savings account? I was thinking of going for Wealthfront. Any reviews for this one? #personalfinance
Did anyone use wealthfront or betterment? What are your reviews? I am 23 years old hoping to reap benefits by magic of compounding. No specific goal in mind. Which ones would you recommend?
Can someone share how is your experience in terms of moving funds out of wealthfront HYSA? I have read some negative reviews as well...so want to take feedback before opening this? Is this worth opening an account? TC#162K #personalfinance #investments #HYSA
