When applying/interviewing at the FAANG (and like) companies, how much does my previous experience need to match what they do? I mostly have 5 yoe at 3 companies doing Java micro services. But nervous that I have little experience directly with big data, massive clouds, other languages/ecosystems.
I’m recruited for doing ml but spend most of my time doing data engineering and writing software micro services. I feel like underpaid for my skillset. I like the wlb ( joined for this reason). But the growth seems stagnant. I could get faang but dont want to be a small cog. Any suggestions ?
