Question. I think I may have lowballed$$ myself for a position at snap. I don’t want to say too much to give myself away, but - if the position minimum is xxx and I asked for less than that, will they pay more? I know some companies do that vs what u ask for. I don’t get paid what I should get paid ...Read more
Looking at levels, snapchat seems to pay about a level higher for the same role when compared to faang companies. Why?
How much does Snap pay for L4 TPM roles? Asking because I don't see much data on this app or anywhere online. Thank you! TC: 250
Seeing a ton of posts on blind about Snap offering insane salaries. How Snap is able to pay so much ?
Hi, This is a genuine question. Why does Snap pay so well (referring to levels.fyi data) given that they were crushed (isn't this true) by other platforms? This question is based on the fact that the majority of their revenue is from advertising on Snapchat.
Sometimes I get invitations from headhunters, they try to refer me to some ML positions in Finance/Hedge funds and say that such companies will pay more than Snap. I tried to talk to a few companies out of curiosity and all recruiters’ claims about “higher TC” turned out to be false - nobody seems ...Read more
Looking at levels.fyi the salaries are way off base compared to salaries to similar levels at FANG. Especially with the scope of things they do and business issues with Snap, I don’t get why the pay is like that. Any thoughts?

According to levels fyi, SNAP beats FB in every single level. At least in new grad it does. Not sure if its harder to get promoted in SNAP compared to FB, but overall it looks like a stronger comp. Maybe the highest out of FAANG minus netflix. Only downside of SNAP is the product. Really become a...Read more

Suppose you fall into senior dev category making somewhere between 600-800 TC Have you seen any other companies proposing 1-1.5 mln (no paper money) to the guys with such experience? Heard from a friend personally at Snap that Snap makes sure they match internal comp to external comp after 1 review cycle based on promotion and market rates. Any other companies that do this? Would be really nice to dedicate myself to a company long term and not have to make a switch to bump up m...Read more

Snap cut several senior executives in its layoffs announced on Monday, aiming in part to reduce the amount of stock based compensation it pays out to senior people, CEO Evan Spiegel told staff on Monday. I have an offer from Atlassian for $353k TC, that includes base + bonus + stocks. I make $445k at Snap at the moment as an L4, thanks to some outperformance equity grants. Does it make sense to move to Atlassian for a $90k pay cut?
