The people are very experienced and there are a few interesting projects happening.
I have had both good managers and bad ones; te disheartening part is that there is no way we can complain about most bad ones. The hikes and appraisals are peanuts even with a great performance review; almost no career growth.
So I read that Arvind Krishna will become the new CEO as Rometty steps down. How do current employees feel about the leadership change? How will the company's growth and culture be impacted? I'm in the interview process and would appreciate info about where the company is headed and how people feel...Read more
When compared with Accenture, IBM, PWC etc. Looking at them to develop leadership skills.
This is not the Google I know. This is being threatened and being reactive. Shame on you! Sundar - under your leadership Google has become IBM. Get out of this role. For real. https://blog.google/technology/ai/bard-google-ai-search-updates/
Article below sounds so much like environment at Microsoft today... Interesting how MS is accounting for "how few" real gender discrimination cases they have, while not touching on age discrimination issues at the company... Because HR and leadership is involved in driving that discrimination. http...Read more

Heard that leadership at docker shifted focus to Enterprise to make it cash positive. How do people feel about this? Any preductions on Google or MSFT acquiring Docker especially since IBM bought red hat?
Does anyone with semi-conductor experience here really understand why Buffett bought TSMC? I have personally thought of that space as very competitive with leadership change every few years (Intel few years ago, IBM before that). Doesn't look like your typical Buffett purchase.

whats PM like at Sofi? I see some recent Amazonians join in leadership roles (eg Assaf, ex VP is now Head of Product). Is the culture like Amazon or say, IBM? Do teams move fast or slow? Is there autonomy and independence or hierarchy and beaucracy? thanks! Amazon L7, TC $280k
Hi all, I’m in Sales at IBM and have been having issues with leadership since the start. My manager has structured my quota to guarantee my failure and get put on a PIP. Are there any avenues internal or external I can use to fight back? TC $215K
The message was very clear: talent is not the source of MSFT value stream. The insulting remarks by leadership, spreading it across waves to create an environment of fear, stopping raises and cutting bonuses were all to signal that the talent had no leverage. Instead they are signaling their value ...Read more
That dude from Golden Bachelor, Gerry, who is 72 years old has higher energy levels than Jassy. Honestly, Jassy was and is only good at following orders. He is a manager, not a leader. The S Team or other initiatives are big failures. The big reason he is pushing for RTO is because he ran out of o...Read more

Now GitHub copilot seems promising and the industry is actively integrating it into their system. I didn't look into Watson deeply. I would like to know what is the difference in vision of that le...Read more
Curious how different or similar everyone’s company feeds are and what you mainly talk about on them? IBMers, feel free to...Read more

This is not a troll post. Simply stating my observations on recent developments: 1. ChatGPT has showed weak and incompetent leadership at Google. They only know how to survive and prosper in good times. 99% of them have not seen how the real world works. 2. Latest layoffs have exposed Google’s inab...Read more

Getting into Google used to confer a bit of a halo on an engineer and was basically a sign that they “made it”. However I feel like there’s been a slow and steady change in sentiment and now Google no longer has the cachet it once held. I know it’s a long-running joke that everyone thinks the hirin...Read more
