Wonderful people at IC and manager levels Good product Benefits package still good (used to be even better, but alas…) When your territory is somewhat stable and you prospect, there are some decent deals out there to win Champion circle is fun if you can avoid the leadership (who has no business being there, but will happily cost Zoom more money despite missing their own numbers) Unlimited PTO means if you hit quota you can do whatever you want at year end since your territory will probably change anyway My specialists/SEs/whatever we call them now are awesome
Things are not good Leadership is terrible Morale is terrible Stock is terrible Layoffs constant Everyone is scared and all the good leaders left. Revenue Org is a mess - Too many sales leaders have no strategy, show blatant favoritism, give no consequences for unethical selling practices, and try to motivate the team through stupid and useless meetings Sales Ops is run by an incompetent egotistical (and flat out MEAN) moron with no backbone who kisses up to leadership but treats her team horribly, so nothing of substance can actually get done. I feel so bad for everyone in that org. She cut so many great people who actually helped me get deals and hit quota. And someone called her Michael Jordan? She’s not even Washington Wizards era Jordan Champions circle is a joke - all those exec who missed their numbers are still showing up and acting like they deserve to be there. The only leaders who should be there are the ones who actually hit their numbers. Comp plan gets worse every year. Only good spiffs are for existing accounts now so good luck to any hunters - acquisition teams in MassMarket are constantly getting screwed over and if you are new to upmarket, one of your peers probably has a hold on all you MRR accounts for at least your first year CSM org doesn’t have any strategy - some CSMs are good but many don’t show up or know their accounts at all until there’s a cancellation risk. Leader doesn’t seem to care at all
