WLB on average is good, though not as good for many since the latest layoffs in Jan. Culture has always been Twitch's strength as a platform and work environment - lots of friendly and collaborative people.
Over 50% of the company was laid off in the past year. Two massive layoffs March 2023 and Jan 2024, with smaller silent axes in between. Company has hunkered down with Amazon pressure, and growth is not available anymore outside maybe a few small pockets. Those looking to grow their career have left or are planning to.

Starting salary for SWE at Twitch? I'm pretty new to working and have about 1-2 years of experience.
I had a phone interview today for a .net web developer. I feel like it went really well. Next the recruiter said if we move forward in the interview process they'll give me a "take home project" that I'll have a week for. What should I expect for that? Also, about what should I expect/negotiate for ...Read more

Only when concerning FAANG and similar FAANG-tier companies, is it a reasonable/obvious assumption to make that salaries within their acquired companies/teams would match the parent company standards? For example, Twitch salaries == Amazon salaries (?), etc
